Exterior & Entrance
The hotel’s façade is a clean and orderly stone structure that blends seamlessly into the calm, upscale neighborhood of western Paris. A classic revolving door marks the entrance from the main boulevard, evoking a subtle, timeless elegance. Once inside, you’re welcomed into a spacious and airy lobby.
At the center of the hotel is a café open to both guests and non-residents. The large space is frequented by business travelers and tourists alike, each enjoying the calm in their own way. The chic interior, with its tasteful color palette and gently bustling ambiance, offers a comforting retreat—especially after a long journey.
Guest Room
We stayed in an LM Club Room with a king bed on the 8th floor. While the room category includes access to the club lounge, we unfortunately didn’t have time to visit it this time. Instead, we enjoyed a peaceful and quiet stay in the room.
The room itself features a modern interior, with grey tones accented by warm wood textures. Behind the bed, a wall-sized abstract map of Paris adds a subtle sense of travel excitement.
The bed delivered the signature comfort expected from a Marriott property, and the large pendant light hanging from the ceiling added a stylish flair to the space.
Our window faced a boulevard where trams pass by—no dramatic landmark view, but a calm, local Parisian rhythm came through.
The room was thoughtfully equipped for seasoned travelers. In addition to a work desk, there were USB ports and electrical outlets for UK, EU, and French plugs—making charging devices stress-free, no matter where you’re from.
Next to the minibar, the coffee and tea setup included cups, a selection of teas (like Earl Grey and Verveine), a hot chocolate mix from Cafés Richard, an ice bucket, cutlery, and a kettle—perfect for enjoying a comforting moment during your travels.
By the bedside: a Bluetooth speaker with a digital clock, two bottles of mineral water, and glasses. There was also a safe and a mini fridge—nothing excessive, but everything you need, neatly in place.
Upon check-in, we casually mentioned we were on our honeymoon. To our surprise, a lovely welcome gift awaited us in the room: a bottle of La Limonaderie de Paris lemonade, a box of chocolates in a red case, and a postcard featuring the Arc de Triomphe. It wasn’t extravagant—but the gesture felt warm and memorable, a perfect beginning to our time in Paris.
Bathroom
The bathroom echoed the room’s grey-based palette, with a round LED mirror and softly glowing sphere lights giving the space a refined, modern touch.
Amenities were neatly arranged: bathrobes, glasses, towels, and hand soap. The space felt thoughtfully minimal, with a sense of functional beauty.
Toiletries were from MALIN+GOETZ, a skincare brand from New York. Their clean, minimal packaging and gentle, plant-based scents created a refreshing and relaxing atmosphere.
The sink area featured hand wash and hand/body lotion infused with vitamin B5—light on the skin and delicately fragrant. Essentials like a vanity kit, cotton swabs, and a shower cap were also provided.
Inside the shower area, three full-sized wall-mounted bottles contained mint shampoo, coriander anti-dandruff conditioner, and sage body wash. The generous portions meant we never ran out during our stay.
The deep-set bathtub had a hand-held shower and a non-slip step for added safety—great for relaxing and soaking off the day’s fatigue.
Thick, fluffy towels were stacked on a bath stool, showing that thoughtful comfort extended even to the small details.
Rather than being overly luxurious, the selection of amenities felt smart and reliable—urban, considered, and just right.
Overall Stay
Our time at Le Méridien Étoile offered a quintessentially urban Parisian experience built on convenience and peace of mind.
Close to the Arc de Triomphe, yet set apart from the city’s chaos, the hotel provides smooth access to both the airport and key destinations—while remaining a calm and elegant retreat. The staff member who checked us in was notably warm and polite, even speaking a little Japanese, making us feel welcome right from the start.
We stayed in an LM Club Room on the 8th floor. While we didn’t get to enjoy the lounge or breakfast, the room itself was well-appointed and comfortable. From the bed to the lighting, from the wall art to the desk setup, every detail was just right.
One of the most memorable aspects was the honeymoon welcome gift—lemonade, chocolates, and a postcard. Not flashy, but deeply thoughtful—a gesture that stayed with us.
Le Méridien Étoile isn’t overly luxurious, but it is dependable. A polished city hotel built from the traveler’s point of view—and one we’d confidently recommend.
